Homemade Coffee Creamers

Cinnamon Strudel

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp almond extract

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine syrup, sugar, milk, cream and cinnamon sticks. Whisk until the cream has started to thicken. Let heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture starts to steam. Remove from heat and remove the cinnamon sticks. Add vanilla and almond extract. Serve hot or store in a glass bottle and refrigerate for later.  

Remember: Don't put the glass bottle in the fridge still hot. It could explode.

Peppermint Mocha

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine syrup, sugar, milk, cream and cocoa powder. Whisk until cocoa powder is fully combined and the cream has started to thicken. Let heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture starts to steam. Remove from heat, add peppermint extract, and either serve hot or store in a glass bottle and refrigerate for later.  

Remember: Don't put the glass bottle in the fridge still hot. It could explode.
